Valuation Days
We hold frequent valuation days at our Prinknash saleroom, between 10am and 4pm (appointment recommended to avoid waiting). See Calendar for dates.

Online Bidding
Chorley's sales offer prospective buyers the facility to bid live online through the website of www.the-saleroom.com

Lots purchased in this way will attract an additional charge for the service in the sum of 3% of the hammer price plus VAT at the rate imposed.
PLEASE NOTE: ABSENTEE PAYMENTS FOR LOTS PURCHASED THROUGH THE-SALEROOM.COM MUST BE MADE EITHER BY BANK TRANSFER OR WITH A CREDIT/DEBIT CARD ON THE SECURE PAYMENT PAGE OF OUR WEBSITE (please contact the office first to ensure you know the full amount payable). ABSENTEE PAYMENTS BY CARD OVER THE TELEPHONE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Registration through www.the-saleroom.com must be made no later than 9am on the day of the sale (or on the first day of a two-day sale). Bidders will be approved and activated for live online bidding at our discretion. All potential buyers will be required to submit identification details and credit/debit card details when registering to bid live online.
Successful bidders will be notified by Chorley’s after the auction and asked for their proposed payment and collection arrangements. We request that all purchased Lots be paid for and removed from the saleroom by 5pm on the Friday one week after the auction. Unless otherwise agreed with the Auctioneers, any Lots remaining at the saleroom after this time will incur a removal charge of £10, plus storage fees of £2 per Lot per day (all subject to VAT). Failure to pay for lots purchased online within three weeks of the auction will result in their reoffer in a subsquent auction and any resulting shortfall being invoiced to the defaulting bidder.
By registering to bid in our auction through www.the-saleroom.com, you confirm that you are resident at the address supplied and that you are the authorised user of the card used for registration.
If you are unable to pay for and collect your lots in person, we require payment to be made either by bank transfer or by card on the secure payment page of our website (please contact the office first to ensure you know the total amount payable) and there will be a 72 hours clearance period after payment before the lots will be released.

This service is offered subject to Chorley's Terms and Conditions and those of ATG Media as stated on www.the-saleroom.com. Chorley's cannot be held responsible for any failure or delay in online bidding technology which results in bids failing to reach the auctioneer or reaching the auctioneer after the hammer has fallen, neither are we responsible for incorrect information provided by www.the-saleroom.com regarding the success of internet bids.
Chorley’s strongly advises viewing onsite in person, or by an agent, and stresses that any descriptions, condition reports and images supplied to the absentee bidder are an opinion provided by this firm and do not guarantee the condition, age or any other characteristic of the lot in question.
