After finishing a degree in history and classical studies, I began working for Phillips Fine Art Auctioneers in Bond Street in 1987.  I spent my initial year as an Auctioneers Clerk in the General Office, learning basic background and the behind the scenes world of the auction house. I also worked as a porter to the Blenstock Auction Room at Phillips, which specialised in Decorative Arts, Music Ethnographica and Arms & Armour and was honoured to be the youngest (and only female!) to be made Head Porter.

My experience has also included work for Waterstones, in the Antiques and Interior Design departments; as well as with the Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum specialising in the Applied Arts Department, cataloguing the work of Alex Miller, Chipping Campden etc

At Chorley's, I manage the production of Inventories for insurance, sale and inheritance tax purposes and act as Sales Clerk on auction days.
