Thomas Jenner-Fust

I was born in 1978 and brought up near Berkeley in Gloucestershire.  I studied History of Art at school before going on to gain a degree in History of Art and English from St Andrews University (1996-2000).  After university I obtained a place on a three-month Christie's internship in New York before joining Bonhams in London as a porter for their weekly furniture sales before becoming a cataloguer in the furniture department.  In 2003, a position as a general valuer became available at Bonhams Honiton office.  This was a varied and enjoyable role which I held until 2005.

After a brief stint as a Christie's representative in the South West, the opportunity arose to join Chorley's as an auctioneer and valuer.  Since joining in 2007, I have continued to undertake valuation work and catalogued sales as varied as the collection of the late John Vosper (December 2008) and the Shambles Museum sale (May 2009).  In addition I have been responsible for editing the popular newsletter and writing press releases.  This has led to a huge amount of publicity for Chorleys both locally and nationally for items as diverse as The White Comrade - a painting sold in aid of Help for Heroes, and a piece of Elvis' hair.
