GOING FOR A SONG - Starring Henry Sandon

Antiques Roadshow favourite Henry Sandon joins us at The Town Hall, Tewkesbury on Saturday 26 May at 3:30pm with and two celebrity guests, for an entertaining afternoon of antiques and humour.  A world authority on Worcester Porcelain, the delightful Henry will be hosting this special festival version of the famous TV programme, as his two guests try to guess the use and value of the various antique thingummies before them.
Our chairman will be Laurence Robertson MP, who has kindly agreed to oversee the afternoon's entertainment.  Joining Henry Sandon will be our own expert Quincey Hobbs.  Our amateurs will be Phil Blakeway of England Rugby fame along with Faye Hatcher, well known presenter of BBC Gloucestershire's Saturday morning programme;  keen to try out her new found knowledge from presenting Simon's programme each month on Radio Gloucestershire.

TENEBRAE  present: IN HEAVEN OR ON EARTH?

That same evening we will also be sponsoring the penultimate concert of the Festival at Teweksbury Abbey, 7.30pm given by Tenebrae, one of the finest vocal ensembles in the world. They will perform a mixed and very atmospheric programme of sacred and secular music.  The programme will include Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Sheremetiev, Sir John Tavener. http://www.tenebrae-choir.com
